What’s Included In Our Dental Exams?

Routine exams are more than a fancy teeth cleaning. Regular visits to your dentist can prevent expensive treatments and detect issues early. A dental exam cleans teeth, removes stubborn plaque, and gives us a chance to diagnose any issues that you may not be able to see. During your appointment, we will:

1. Perform a Full Set of X-Rays to Examine Your Teeth

Dental x-rays are an important part of any dental exam. They let us see the whole picture and find tooth decay that may be lurking between your teeth. Some people only go to the dentist when something hurts, but x-rays in a dental exam can help us catch and treat any issues early.

2. Assess Your Gum and Bone Health

We look for any stage of oral cancer, periodontal disease, and more as part of our assessment. From there, we’ll provide any treatment options necessary to get your dental health back to normal. We always go the extra mile to help our patients understand any necessary treatments. We also provide ways to keep your teeth and gums healthy.

3. Clean Teeth and Remove Tartar

Tartar is build-up on the teeth that can only be removed by a dentist. We’ll also determine if a deep cleaning or scaling is necessary to get under the gums and start reversing the damage of periodontal disease.

4. Polish Your Teeth

We like to leave your teeth looking and feeling sparkly clean, so expect a nice polish at the end of your exam. This polish removes stains and leaves your teeth feeling smooth.

Once we’re finished, we’ll be happy to answer any questions you have and schedule any future appointments. If you have dental insurance, you may not have to pay anything for your visit, as exams are often fully covered. We’ll take the information we need and bill your insurance company directly.

If you don’t have dental insurance, no problem. You can sign up for our in-house loyalty plan and start saving from day one!
